Come celebrate spring in Rose Park and take a moment to appreciate some recent improvements that include a new path, lights, benches and trees from the National Parks Service, as well as new plants in the garden near the rec. hut from the Georgetown Garden Club.
We would also like to a moment to recognize the service of Mike McMahon, Landscape Architect for the National Parks Service, who is retiring at the end of April. Mike has designed gardens in several parks in Georgetown including Rose Park, the Georgetown Waterfront Park, and the stunning revitalization of Francis Scott Key Park. Mike’s influence will be felt for a long time and we appreciate all he has done for the parks. Please join us in wishing him a happy retirement.
